Florida!

We left Indy around 12:30pm on Friday and drove until we reached Northern Alabama and then crashed for the night. The drive was OK - big kids really did pretty well in the car and Adelyn wasn't awful, but she did fuss a lot and ate a lot of bottles while I sat up front and pumped. Good times! The night in the hotel was a semi-disaster for our room. We had to wake the kids up to get them out of the car and into the room. Poor Katelyn thought we'd be in Florida already and was looking for the bunk beds that were promised in the kid room. The roll-away in our room (for Brendan) wasn't cutting it! Then, she was so sad that she couldn't sleep in the same bed as Brendan. Lots of crying, drama at 10pm. I was so afraid that they were going to kick us out of the hotel! Eventually we got her settled down and Adelyn slept in her portable swing for a few hours, then it was time to get back on the road! We reached Destin just after lunch time on Saturday and stopped for lunch at a new place, Whiskey Bravo 723. It was really good and had a great view of the beach. We had wanted to go to our old favorite, Smiling Fish (where I had my birthday lunch last year), but it had closed. The owner had started Whiskey Bravo though, so it was a lot of the same yummy food. :) By Sunday morning we were somewhat settled in and ready to relax for a few days. Brendan & Katelyn enjoyed some early morning snuggle time with Adelyn. :)

The boys enjoyed playing trains in the long hallway of our condo. :)
