Last Morning at the Beach

We had a few hours left on Friday morning before we had to load up to drive home after a final lunch at Vintage in Destin.

The kids in their yellow boats for the last time

Riding some more waves...Brendan was always looking for the "ruh-roh" ones.  :)

Katelyn really got into looking for little shells in the sand by the end of our trip.

Enjoying some time in the beach side pool

The beach is exhausting!

We stayed in for lunch today and while I was making lunch the kids were watching a show on TV. I noticed it was really quiet and walked over to the couch to see this...

After taking Katelyn to her bed and eating some lunch, I was resting on the couch and woke up to this...

Second attempt at a Family Picture

Birthday Lunch

We had lunch at one of our favorite places - Smiling Fish Cafe. Chris surprised me with a delicious chocolate birthday cake. :)

Beach time & Wake Boarding

Uncle Robbie caught some tiny fish along with some small crabs and put them in a bucket for the kids to play with. :) It was fun for the kids...not so much for the fish...

Aunt Jenny attempted to fly a kite...it was breezy, but more gusty than a good kite flying breeze.

The construction site trucks continued to be a huge hit throughout the week.
They definitely got braver with the water as the week went on...
Uncle Robbie boogie boarding on an abandoned board we found on the beach yesterday.

Katelyn catching a ride with her Uncle.  :)
We saw lots of airplanes and helicopters...
All the kids got a chance to try out the board

Big Birthday Breakfast

We always have one morning where we make a huge breakfast feast...this year it was on my birthday. :)   The kids certainly enjoyed the chocolate chip pancakes.

Nets and sand castles

Another beautiful day in our little paradise! Uncle Robbie went fishing again today. Not a lot of bites unfortunately.
We got little nets for the kids and they had some fun trying to catch things...eventually they were able to catch some "stunned" bait fish that Uncle Robbie had released.  :)

Still a favorite of Brendan's...running along the beach, like a freight train.  :)
