Carving Pumpkins!

All three kids really enjoyed pumpkin carving this year! Brendan did a good bit of his and Katelyn did almost all of her jack o lantern's face! They were interested in the goo, but Mommy did most of the goo removal. ;)

Lego Birthday Party!

After having to postpone his party by a week due to a stomach virus, we were able to have Brendan's Lego Party! His buddy from next door and the boys in his class came over for a couple hours.

I had a lot of fun making stuff for this party. ;) Invitations
All of the games - Guess how many legos in the jar, Lego Relay Spoon race, Lego Pinata, and a Lego marble maze
Lego Goodie Bags - each kid got a rice krispie treat, a Mixel, and some Lego shaped crayons in addition to the candy in the pinata.
Lego Cakes!

Happy 7th Birthday Brendan!

In honor of Brendan's birthday, we got a little bit of snow today, just like the day he was born. :) This kid seriously, loves the snow. He takes a snow shovel to the bus stop every morning he can to scoop up any available snow and make a pile at the bus stop. He still loves trains, but also has really taken to Legos. He is doing amazingly well in his class at Fall Creek and loves anything with numbers. Brendan is definitely still on the small size for his age, still wearing size 5 or 5/6 clothes. He was so excited for his birthday, he had to open presents before going to school. ;)

Sledding

We finally had some snow and it wasn't absolutely frigid out, so the kids got to enjoy some time in the snow. Adelyn enjoyed sledding, until she tipped over, then she decided that swinging was much safer. ;) Katelyn is all about making "Snow Angels", mostly because Ruby (of Max & Ruby) makes them. Brendan doesn't care what he does, he just wants to play in the snow!

Home made Silly Putty

I participated in a Craft Swap towards the end of last winter and since we had some extra time today with no school, we broke out some of the bags. The home made silly putty was the biggest hit! We used the "Borax" method in the following link. http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Silly-Putty
