Bumbo Time and Brother Time

Brendan is such a sweet boy with his sisters. He was being especially sweet (and funny!) today about Adelyn. She was playing on the floor in the dining room while I did some stuff in the kitchen. He came over to keep her company and then wanted to make sure that she saw his graduation picture from regular school as well as his Thomas pillow and his kittens. :)

11 Weeks

FUMC Preschool Graduation

The preschool graduation (for Senior Preschool and Pre-K)was today as well - so we had a busy evening! Brendan started at FUMC in the 2's room for MDO, so he spent 3 years here. He had a wonderful year in the Lion room and really progressed in his writing! His first teacher, Mrs. Lawton, moved to Texas mid-March, which was especially hard for Mommy since I loved her and she was Brendan's teacher in the 2's room as well. Luckily, his new teacher, Mrs. Schwegmann was awesome as well and did a great job stepping in! Mrs. Neitzel was the teaching assistant all year and was also in Brendan's 2's room. Each class did a little program and sang a few songs up in front of the Church. Brendan's class sang, "Deep in the Heart of Texas" which was so sweet for Mrs. Lawton. They did a slide show of pictures of each child to the song, "Let Them Be Little". The last song, all the classes sang together, "This Little Light of Mine" and each had their own little flashlight around their necks that they used. Finally, they all got to walk in from the back and "graduated".

Daycare ("Regular School") Graduation

The PlaySchool has a Graduation ceremony for those kids who will be starting Kindergarten in the Fall. It was really cute - they all walked out in their caps and gowns and were each given an award along with their "diploma". Brendan's award was "Future Train Conductor". They were also asked what they wanted to be when they grow up...of course Brendan said a train driver! It was also somewhat fitting as next week will be the kids last day at daycare as it's too costly to send all three there when I work. Brendan has gone their since he was 12 weeks old and I was returning to work, so 5 years! This place was a big part of his life. :)

Last Day of Mother's Day Out/Last week of Preschool

Today was Katelyn's last day of MDO in the Tiger room...sniff, sniff. ;) She really enjoyed her class and I know that she will miss her school as much as I will. :) Next year, she will be in preschool and go two days per week! This is Brendan's last week of Senior Preschool in the Lion room. He's got two more days after today, but then he'll have Graduation and go to Kindergarten in the Fall!

10 weeks

Miss Adelyn found her toes while we were on our vacation in Florida. She is starting to talk more and is making contact with her toys in bouncy seat. Luckily for Mommy, she slept pretty well still even while on vacation. Of course it was in her portable swing, but oh well! She is taking a bottle well - we drove straight thru to get home from Florida (made it in record time too!) - and she hardly cried in the car.
