Happy Halloween!

The weather turned cold, wet and windy just in time for Halloween this year, which was a bummer after a beautiful fall. But, the kids were troopers and bundled up for the chance to get candy. :) Katelyn spent all week telling us that her favorite two holidays are Easter and Halloween - "because you get candy!"

Pumpking Carving

As soon as we came home with our pumpkins, Brendan was desperate to carve his into a jack-o-lantern. We held him off until the weekend, but then it was game on. ;)

Pumpkin Patch

We made our annual trip to Stoney Creek Farms today to get our pumpkins for jack o lanterns. It was a short visit between Chris working a half day and the big kids' gymnastic class, but it was long enough to have some fun.

Last Regular Season Baseball Game...

and Brendan finally got a hit! I think that Coach Jones kept creeping up closer to the plate, but I didn't really care. It wasn't a big hit, but it was a hit and everyone cheered for him! :) He made it to first base with his mother telling the other kid to "drop the ball" under her breath. (In talking with Coach after the game, he said the same thing!) Miraculously, he made it all the way around the bases and scored...got lucky again, in that despite being the force out on 3rd, the other team threw the ball to first base. Brendan was awarded the game ball tonight and was just as excited about that as he was getting a hit and scoring a run. To celebrate, we ordered pizza for dinner.
