First IU Game of the Season!

The day started out super rainy - the game was even delayed 30 minutes due to lightening. We ended up having lunch at a nearby restaurant and then went to the game.

Coming Home!

I think that he had a good first day of school and was definitely excited to get off the bus in the afternoon!

First Day of 1st Grade!

Despite the cool weather, today was the first day of school for HSE. So hard to believe that my little man is 6 1/2 and starting 1st Grade! All the grandparents turned out to watch him get on the bus. He was so excited and hardly looked back! Which was good considering the mom's were barely holding it together. I'm very glad that he's going to school with his neighbor-buddy Owen, even though he's a year behind.

Bisia & Grampy are in town visiting and we got to boat down to Bella Vita for dinner to celebrate their visit, the last day of summer vacation and Brendan's half birthday!

Getting ready for 1st Grade

We got to visit Fall Creek Elementary this evening and meet Brendan's teacher, Mrs. Miller. Afterwards, we were able to have ice cream in the cafeteria.

Adelyn is still tiny of course. We go back in a month or so for her 18 month check up, so no "stats" to report. She can still fit into 12 month clothes although some pjs are getting short/snug. For variety sake, we're getting into our 18 month clothes. :) She's wearing size 4 shoes and we are finishing off the very last of the size 2 diapers. :) Despite the size, she is mighty! She's got a little temper and attitude, but overall is still a very happy baby. She's been very interested in a piggy bank toy as well as the Little People we have. She is running and dancing (twirling) right along with the big two. She loves to try to ride all of the tricycles/bikes we have. She seems to be saying more things every day...today we heard "froggie", i.e. her paci. She says "dee" for a drink. She will still eat just about anything and isn't a good sleeper, but no one is perfect, right? ;)
