Tumbling Tots

I signed both kids up for a gymnastic class at the Y recently. It was for kids aged 3-5, so Katelyn was definitely on the young side, but I thought she could probably do it. She wasn't the best participant, but the class format wasn't the most structured either, so that didn't work in her favor. But they worked on forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, walking on the balance beam, hanging from a bar and even a little "vaulting". Most of the other pictures I got were actually videos...I need to figure out how to get them up here...

Big Brother/Big Sister Class

Community North Hospital offers a one hour class for soon to be Big Brothers and Big Sisters to learn about having a new baby at home. They had a hand washing station with special "germs" that glowed. They got to practice putting diapers on their babies or kitties, putting them in a car seat, and swaddling. Katelyn's favorite part was setting the table, i.e. learning how to help around the house and be big. Brendan's favorite part was sorting out the too small toys through a toilet paper tube. We then all got to take a tour of the maternity floor so they could see where Mommy and the baby will stay.

Family Birthday Celebration

We celebrated all the Winter birthdays tonight at Mamaw & GrandBob's house. All the cousins had a great time playing together. :) It is amazing to me how big/old Katelyn looks in these pictures! Can't believe she's almost 3!!

36 Weeks

Happy Birthday Brendan!

Brendan's 5th birthday fell on a Tuesday this year, so he got to celebrate at preschool with his class with some yummy cupcakes for snack. :) Once Daddy got home, we celebrated some more with some presents and few more cupcakes. :) Once again trains and Thomas were a huge hit. They were both excited about Candy Land - although the concept of playing the game has yet to be accomplished. ;)

Brendan's 5th Birthday Party

Once again, we had Brendan's birthday party at Trains Galore in Noblesville. I think that all the kids had a great time playing with the giant train table and enjoying some cake & ice cream.
