26 Weeks

Mercifully, Addie has slept better the last two nights - back to her somewhat normal 10-5 or at least 10:30-4:30, so it's been a little more pleasant around here. :) She still doesn't sleep much during the day - a couple short naps and maybe one longer nap around mid-day, esp. if she's undisturbed in the car. She is loving her new skill of sitting up. She can be in our arms and be fussy and just by setting her on the floor so she can sit up, she is happy again! I did end up taking her to the doctor last Friday afternoon (weighed in at a whole 13 pounds!). She probably just had a little cold, but she was horribly hoarse from Wednesday until yesterday/today. It was so sad to listen to her try to talk in her little hoarse voice.

I love her "smile" in this last one - she pulls her bottom lip in and it's just so cute! :)

Apple Picking

We were looking for an activity for us to enjoy as a family this weekend and found a Caramel Apple Festival was going on at Tuttle's Apple Orchard. It was a suprisingly hot day out, but the kids didn't seem to mind a bit. They loved playing in the play area, the hay maze and the hay pile especially. Then we went and got some treats - a Caramel Apple, an apple cider slushie, and an apple donut. Yum!

Katelyn's First Day of Preschool

Today was Katelyn's first day of preschool - she's in the Junior Monkey class on Tuesdays and Thursday's, just like her brother was. :) Same room and same teachers even! I know that she's going to love it - lots of art opportunities in her class. :) Brendan enjoyed taking her to her class before his started. But he was confused when I dropped him off and didn't try to take his picture as he went in. ;)

25 Weeks

And she's mastered the art of sitting! It's a whole new world now. :) At first she was just able to hold it for a minute, but now she's pretty good and doesn't get sad when she does topple over either. :)

Labor Day Swimming

Poor Grampy was too sick to join us for some swimming and lunch. :( The kids had a great time though and burned off a bunch of energy. They really do love the water!
